Family events

In 2024 the school opened its doors to families to join our very own Community Iftar on 27 March, attended by more than 150 guests. This event was planned to ensure tradition was maintained, with all bringing food platters to complement the school’s planned buffet. Our families were very appreciative to have had the opportunity to sit and enjoy this time to get to know each other better.

Our End of Year Concert on 8 June 2024 showcased the artistic and performing abilities of all our students. Both teachers and learners worked to produce a musical that matched the highest of performing standards, marvelling the audience.

Family-focused events like including family reading in the Library , picnics, or fun fairs foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere where families can connect with teachers, staff, and each other. Activity-based events, such as science fairs, sports games, or STEAM workshops, allow parents to actively participate in their child’s learning. Regular family assemblies or showcase nights also create opportunities for students to present their work, reinforcing confidence and a sense of accomplishment.

We also host viewing of sporting events that bring our community together, for instance the Asia Cup match Oman- Thailand on 21 January with a large number of families attending.

Also, our Library wis the venue for readings and various literary events. In 2024 we celebrated a Poetry Reading in Spanish and Arabic with guest Spanish poet. This event was attended by families, students and staff.

Together, these events build a collaborative school environment, enrich student learning, and strengthen the school-family partnership, ultimately creating a vibrant, inclusive school culture.
